Nowadays, shopping on-line is very common, many people so this as it is userfriendly and save time. I would like to talk about the on-line shopping from Yahoo - one of the most famous site in Hong Kong.
A market is a network of interactions and relationships where information, products, services, and payments are exchanged. The market handles all the necessary transactions.
An electronic market is a place where shoppers and sellers meet electronically. In electronic markets, sellers and buyers negotiate, submit bids, agree on an order, and finish the execution on- or off-line.
Yahoo on-line shop - it have a very colorful and userfriendly front page, it catch visiter's eye.
Seller can post their product by showing the photo and writing details. Buyer and seek their target by reading seller's photo and note. They can also communication through the site.
Priceline
Priceline is an Internet-based travel service that offers air tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, air plus hotel combo and travel insurance. Priceline also markets fixed-price, retail travel products through "Make Your Own Choice" model.
"Make Your Own Choice" is a system which vister can choose the place and set the target price and bid the travel ticket from Priceline.
I think Priceline understand what customer wants and catch trend of on-line shopping.
It's very creative.

On-line marketing can enables customers to shop or do other transactions 24 hours a day, all year round (any time) from almost any location.
Such as provides customers with more choices, provides customers with less expensive products and services by allowing them to shop in many places and conduct quick comparisons and allows quick delivery of products and services in some cases, especially with digitized products.
Customers can receive relevant and detailed information in seconds, rather than in days or weeks. Makes it possible to participate in virtual auctions. Allow customers to interact with other customers in electronic communities and exchange ideas as well as compare experiences. Electronic commerce facilitates competition, which results in substantial discounts.
These are good examples of B2C e-commerce. You may add examples of how Yahoo Shopping or Priceline is using the Internet for marketing communications and for attracting new customers/retaining existing customers.
